Pena Blanca lake is a short drive West of Nogales, Arizona off Ruby Road.
This section of Ruby road from Rio Rico to Pena Blanca Lake is all paved and easily travelled.
Be Prepared
The drive is through open pastures and beautiful rolling hills.
Drive cautiously as cattle sometimes get onto the road.
You will need to take a picnic lunch and potable water as there’s none there.
There is a boat slip for small paddle boats, canoes, etc.
One of these days I’d love to go down with a canoe and paddle around the lake myself.
