Original structure is built of cement blocks with flat roof. This construction is fantastic. The membrane roofs require a little maintenance but are extremely effective and affordable to maintain. The cement block requires very little maintenance unlike other frame stucco properties in the area.

Similarly constructed homes were built throughout Green Valley Fairways on the East side of I-19 corridor in Green Valley. This community has a fantastic location close to Wal-Mart shopping center and short drive to Tucson.
Many of these homes have original copper plumbing. This plumbing requires extra attention due to high concentration of mineral deposits here. Most of the homes have no issues, however, you want to have a budget contingency just in case. A simple water softener maybe all you need to consider. However, on rare occasion folks upgrade the homes to modern PEX plumbing.
Additionally, some of these homes have older BX style, two prong electrical wiring. Some have been upgraded to a modern 3 wire service panel with dedicated ground. You will want to keep an eye out for that when looking at these properties.
